Citizen l20E -IX Swiss Lathe -Capabilities Video

We’ve created a capabilities video to demonstrate the production efficiency offered by our Citizen L20E-IX. The L20E-IX is a state of the art Swiss Turning center that features 7 axis machining capability with up to 32 separate tools. Together with the Boss332r-E automatic bar feeder the lathe should offer our customers excellent capabilities for machining mid to high volume batches of complex turned parts.

Some of the key features of the L20E are :

  • Overlapped operations of tool posts(Cross Matching) – 2 independent tool posts can be moved synchronously to reduce idle periods. For example one toolpost can start work on the next process before the other tool post has fully retracted
  • Overlapped movement of axes – In a tool replacement or thread cutting operation, axis movement can begin before and operation using another axis has completed. This can greatly reduce idle time.
