Smarter Travel at Smithstown Light Engineering
As part of our goal to becoming carbon neutral, we are giving staff the use of three fully electric cars for work and personal use.
As part of our goal to becoming carbon neutral, we are giving staff the use of three fully electric cars for work and personal use.
Our aim is to take 4.5 metric tonnes of Co2, per car, off the road. By making these three electric cars available to staff we are promoting car-pooling, whilst giving all our staff the experience of 100% electric driving.
Furthermore, from the end of March 2020, both of our facilities in Shannon will be powered by certified renewable energy, meaning these cars will be powered by truly green energy!
As we travel along our green road to a Carbon neutral Irish company, we have committed to supporting our chosen charities, Pieta House, Milford Care Centre and CRY Ireland. The more Co2 we take out, the more these good causes will benefit. Good for the environment, good for our community.
